Where did the clan go anyways?

Umm....they are taking a break due to some recent drama. I hope they come back soon. The drama seems to have ended.

I love my last class of the day.

One kid just told me he thought I was 40. Another thought mid to late 30s. I'm 28. GAH!

Wow! You're old!

I really hope you are not speaking for me because you could not be more wrong. As far of the others they probably have their own reasons for staying away. Unless they told you something you are guessing and I REALLY doubt anyone wants you speaking for them anyhow. If they had something to say they would say it. Stir crap up elsewhere.

You are not the clueless one Crissa.

I am having back spams that have almost floored me and am clearly aggravated. I am off to enjoy a muscle relaxer.

*wonders if there are animal encounters near here*
So did you pet the Cheetah?

No, I didn't dare... The trainers don't want people petting the animals. Besides, I would have gotten severely slapped if I had; once for Heather and another from the trainer's supervisor (who's known Heather ever since she started working at the zoo at age 16...)

no, but becky doesn't like to be on the edge.
cat never looked over the edge and becky backed
into curtis so she wouldn't see the edge.

I would have walked right up to the railing and looked over the edge...

NO!!! I am not a monkey.. leave me alone..

Great rant, Gil... The Cotton Top Tamarins (the first picture) are among my favorites of the monkeys. The ones I don't like are the screamy Capuchins...

Six Flags is apparently going bankrupt. I don't know how, given how much they charge for both parking and admission..

thomascanty wrote in post #7782057 (external link)
I don't know about their other parks, but Six Flags Magic Mountain here in Southern California is probably the crappiest theme park I've ever been to.

gjl711 wrote in post #7782085 (external link)
Thats sad, I have been to that one several times and it's a great park, lots of trees and such, but the last time we went it was down right scary in places. Seems that some unsavory types like to frequent the place and harass folks and park security did nothing about it.

thomascanty wrote in post #7782184 (external link)
I remember it being a pretty fun place back around 1979 or 1980 when I went for my first time. Last time I was there was maybe 5 or 6 years ago, and it was pretty much just like you described. I only stayed for a couple hours before I decided I'd had enough...

Back in 2000, when we were married, we went to Magic Mountain for a couple of days because Heather's sister and her family wanted to go there. they had come into town for the wedding. It was by far the worst theme park I have ever been to. You actually had to go through a metal detector on the way in and this was before 9/11. The park was dirty, the employees were slovenly and sullen and the place was apparently a hang out for East LA gangs. By comparison Disneyland is a paradise.

I'm actually surprised the place has lasted this long. I would have figured the place to have closed five years ago...

I wasn't trying to stir crap up. I was referring to the discussion we were having yesterday. That is all.
