I have had dried mixed fruit soaking in tea since this morning so we are talking a Cold Tea Cake (well more like bread really) an Old Welsh recipe.

Interesting.

What side called it Manassas and what side called it Bull Run ? I really should remember that

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Battle_of_Bull_Run (external link)

You get extra credit for knowing that they existed at all.

gmae friends ..
Diane ..love the shots so far ..pretty seeing flowering trees ..must of been beautiful
Thanks , about my shots anyone who commented .

Thanks, it really was beautiful! Nothing like being there with a bunch of new buddies....especially when you're not sure what to expect (:p Zane) and end up feeling totally comfortable with them.

3Turner wrote in post #7651300 (external link)
Diane pet a big doggie?

Yep, and loved on him and called him George. Or something. Nevermind me, I think I'm hungover from lack of sleep.

He was redeeming himself for not taking photos of the girls in tiny shorts on the trails here in Texas.

He behaved himself rather well....other than a shot of some chick's rear hangin' out and apparently an attempt at my tattoo. But for the record he still wants to be grouchy (even though he really didn't come across as grouchy to me) ;)

Cool....what is that in the water? People on a boat?

Yep, paddleboats are permitted in the Tidal Basin

*waves* HI DIANE!

HI CAT!

You are a dirty dirty man.

Actually, neither he or his truck smelled bad.

LOL! Hi Wooly!

Diane, nice set, I particularly like number 8 and 10. And let me know if you want to hear an Oregonian pronounce Oregon

Yes please! Then I may need you to call Wool. ;)

This cup was inscribed on a fragment of the marble column from the monument to the victims of the "Maine" erected in the city of Havana whose column was knocked down (demolished) by the cyclone of October 20, 1926.

Although cup doesn't seem to be accurate to me.

Interesting. Seems like it could be accurate...there was a big cup above it! heehee

sevillafox wrote in post #7651365 (external link)
Nice pics Diane. I like #10 a lot. The blossoms look like they were so pretty.

cfpackerfan wrote in post #7651424 (external link)
Diane, I REALLY like #10. (external link) That is beautiful.

Thanks guys, they were beautiful!

Diane has a really neat link with a photo trip to Chernobyl. I hope she hooks us up. It was a really neat read/view.

Nuts, lemme see if I can find it again.

neil_r wrote in post #7651489 (external link)
but it is twinned with Three Mile Island

I live near TMI and was in utero when the event happened. Chernobyl was far worse...there was little radiation released at TMI, though it nearly was a monumental disaster.

short5 wrote in post #7651636 (external link)
Morning folk. I am drinking tea apparently we are out of coffee:shock: My bad I need to go shopping.

Diane your pictures look great. I like the Jefferson bokeh behind the blossoms.

No coffee?? Oy. Rotten day.

Did they show up yet? If they do, I'm gettin' some of that. Does it taste good, or like buffalo dung?

for any of you thinking of buying viveza and I highly (...I don't think I could recommend a program higher) recommend it for processing...it's $149 right now (which is $100 off...for a limited time).

Viveza supports Photoshop, Elements, Lightroom, and Aperture. This is one of the best tools for image adjustment (no funky filters...it's just for adjusting) I've ever used.

http://www.niksoftware.com …campaign=Focus+April+2009 (external link)

and if you click on this link
http://www.niksoftware.com/viveza/usa/entry.php (external link)

then click on lessons, you can see what it does

YES!!! I highly recommend it! +100!
