Hey guys, well just a little while ago I walked upstairs only to notice the blueness of the sky outside as the sun was setting. I quickly ran upstairs, changed some setting, and ran outside to catch a photo. This is the result:

I don't think it is very good so C&C greatly appreciated as I would love to perfect my sunset shots :)

Thanks guys,

Looks out of focus. Were you using a tripod? with or without the IS turned on?

While the colors are pretty, I don't really see a subject in your photo.

Exactly my main problem. Yes, I was using both. I just couldn't get it to focus right.. Anyone have any tips?

Try shooting in Aperture priority and selecting a smaller aperture (larger number). This will give you a wide depth of field which will ensure that all is in focus.

Nice colours.

It's a fantastic composition, otherwise. I hope you get another chance.

If you're using a tripod, try turning the IS OFF. IS is compensating for movement whether or not it's there to start with. If there's no movement, it's still trying to compensate for it and will actually create blur in your images.
