A first attempt at boxing. A great experience - but a very, very tough sport to shoot. The 50mm f/1.4 certainly came in handy. Here are some of the pics...

Yup. #6 does it best for me but they are all great shots !!!


Bless the recently fallen and their family and friends.
I have a Cannon with me at all times. You can't take the shot if you don't have something with which to shoot. :rolleyes:

Curious about this too. You were able to freeze the action quite well which means HIGH shutter...which leads me to believe flash, but the lighting in the photos only indicates ambient(existing) light was KEY and the flash could only be fill.

Being da 50, he had to be next to the ropes!

Hi Hydro - Yep, I had the good fortune of being ringside and was able to work with the (pretty good) ambient light. The exposure for these shots was 1/500s, f/2 at ISO1000.
