This is a combined photo of 2 pictures I took. The lions head down is one photo, the trees above the heads are another.

How can I make this look any better?

blur the background more, at least match what is under the lion's neck.

Hopefully this image will shrink so small that no one can see it. I think a stronger warning was in order as it's not only children that would find this disturbing. I myself did not need to see this.

Where was that proto taken? It looks like taxidermy with the background and lack of blood.
