This is my first picture I took with my wide angle and playing with settings outside of Auto. Let me know your opinions...

Hi Andrea, It looks like your shot has some potential regardless of what appears to be the main subject smack-dab in the center of your photo! It is rather small to view and get a good critique though IMHO.

Ah, that's much better for viewing. Well, I like ice crystal shots so I'm kind of biased in that regard. You might have done a close up out there for some better results I think. You know, fill the frame with an interesting branch/branches and crystal/crystals. Do you have any editing software?

Because you shot into the sun your image is underexposed. I think it would have been more interesting if you had some detail in the branch with the ice crystals. I know what you were going for but in a very tough lighting situation it may have been better if you had bracketed exposures.

Very good attempt with the new lens.

Hi again Abell, can I show you a couple of ideas I had about this shot? You'll have to turn "image editing ok" on in your user control panel.
