Pray she doesn't read your POTN posts vmad:evil: or you may find fingerprints on your sensor.
If you purchase tickets online for the academy you will be guaranteed a spot. If you buy your tickets at the booth you can get the AAA discount.
You cannot have your cake and eat it too. ie: no AAA discount on your online ticket purchase.
The place will be packed most likely and those that can't make it in will flood the DeYoung till it is packed.

So you won't be needing your 70-200 L that day, I'll be by to pick it up then. :-)

Kevin, you don't realise WHERE Maureen actually lives. Do you. :p

She's not from the Bay Area, but she likes to travel to these meets.
You would save money (gas vs. rental) by renting it from Calumet in SF or from Borrowlenses in San Mateo.

It takes me 6 hours to Anaheim. With stops.
It is nice to drive an unobtrusive boat that goes fast.
Besides, on the return trip a cruise up to the foothills could produce a photo or two.
But something tells me Maureen would rather part with her photo copyrights rather than let me have her L :-(

Thanks, I actually haven't really read the manual. I've just been reading some other material about general DSLR photography information which has been really helpful by the way.

Count me as tentative also. Might have to work....

Can I bring my sister-in-law? She shoots a Nikon D40X and is just learning. She lives in South San Francisco so it'd be a short trip for her.
