Need opinions here...

So I took a film camera class last semester, and no longer need to camera or the lenses.

I'm not sure about how to go with this. I'm trying to sell it, just have no idea what to set my prices at.

Included is:
Canon AE1 35mm SLR
70-210 Canon Macro Lens
50mm Lens
Random filters
Canon Speedlight 188A External flash.

What would your starting price be? I would even trade everything for a Nifty Fifty.

Just looking for opinions.

Best bet is to search the similar items on ebay, including and definitely the recently ended listings.

Seriously, that gear is probably not worth selling - a 10D is only worth a couple of hundred dollars on ebay these days so hate to think what you'd get for old film gear, even if it was in mint condition.
Nobody wants film cameras any more.

That's cool man. Kind of what I figured. Appreciate the honest opinion.

I have sold quite a bit of film gear on craigslist. I don't know if others get the amount they are looking for, but I sold mine at rreasonable prices. One thing about craigslist- if you are overpriced, every city has a member of the photo-police that will flag you or respond to your ads insulting you for being a rip off or post another ad complaining about your ad or something similar. Just ignore them and set your price close to what the other stuff on there is going for and chances are it will either sell or be at least left alone. I suggest doing searches in several cities, and basing prices on several similar ads. Be careful- meet your buyer in a public place, insist on cash only, and write down every bit of information you have about them before you say hello- their cell number, the license of the car they drive up in, everything. You hear horror stories every day.

Depending on the condition of everything, and depending on exactly which lenses they are, I'd say you cold get $150 for all of it. A lot of people in photography classes would likely buy it up. Go to KEH.com and get a quote on all of it, it wont be as much as if you were to sell it yourself, but it might be easier to just take what they'll give you.
