Anyone know the place for CF cards this week? I usually buy my cards through Newegg--- they are a bit cheaper than B&H --- I will not buy from outside the reputable retailers-- too much fraud with CF cards.
Thanks!

I'm not looking this week, but I usually go to either newegg, buy.com or Amazon for stuff like external drives and memory cards.

I guess as long as you don't go to Best Buy (and pay $60 for a 1GB card), you'll do fine!

I am trying to gear up with new cards for wedding season-- I really like the 16 gig sandisk and transcend cards-- but always interested when deals are happening. I am not a fan of the rebate garbage though.
Personally I would never buy anything through best buy-- but that is me.

All but one of my 4GB cards (both CF and SDHC) are Transcend, and they've been good to me :)

I have 4 or 5 16 gig transcend cards--- and used them on several weddings-- they work fine... they are a little slow when I use them for sports in my 1D3. But typically something I can live with--- I like the price.

I was hoping someone would know of where to get sandisk 16 gig cards a little cheaper-- newegg has them for about $105 --- I would like to get a few but would like to get them cheaper.

I've become accustomed to purchasing from Amazon after using them all these years.

lol! I would definitely recommend shopping around before buying at a place like best buy (though sometimes they have great sales).

A few years back Staples actually would have some decent deals on cards, but this was when 512MB was a BIG card :)

I do like how Staples has either instant rebates and/or "just fill out the online form no need to cut up and send in the UPC symbol from the box" rebates.

But I pretty much just stick with Amazon (Prime!) now for my tech needs, occasionally checking out NewEgg and buy.com. That free two-day (or 2.99 next day) shipping is hard to beat!
