Canon Prices in Canada

Just noticed today that prices have gone up a good chunk of change. I just bought a 300 F4L IS for $1499 it's now $1649.

Wow still 1399 out here... Hope they don't go up any more!! I lied... Just checked some of the local sites again this evening and they have gone up on avg 100-200bucks on L glass since yesterday, ouch!!!

Photoprice says you can still get it for $1429 from Mcbain +Tax, but the other places seem higher then before. I guess my used 300 f/4 has gone up in price too?

Yes, some are still in expensive, www.photoprice.ca is indispensable, except for memory cards. Booo

50D has gone up by $50 (to $1,450) almost everywhere. Glad I got one at the end of March ($1,200 + GST), thanks to the rumors posted on this site

For only $2100 you too could buy a 70-200 f2.8 IS L. Yeah give me a break Canon Canada.

Canon Canada is a rip off. Even with all the duty hassels I buy from BHphotovideo.com only because the price is often hundreds cheaper.

I checked out the prices at the main McBain store in Edmonton on the weekend. I was in shock how expensive they were. I've been out of the game and was surprised my used lenses went up in value.

Broadway Camera prices sure seem steep right now. Photoprice shows you can get a 100mm macro for $629.95 from Simon's Camera.

Tell me about it! I almost bought one for $1200 just before christmas and decided to hold off till the spring rebates. Big mistake as there are no rebates, and even the US ones don't have the 300 f4.

Anyhow...picked mine up from Camera Canada. They have it on sale right now for $1485
