No kidding! It's great they allow their employees to celebrate the entire holiday, but maybe they could hire a few that are non-Jewish.
I'm sure they'd have people lined up around the building who normally don't observe the entire holiday that could use an extra week's paycheck!
They do have non-Jewish employees, but who would be their supervisor? Since it is owned by Jews, at some point over the Holiday, they would have to entrust the business to someone outside the family as they cannot work for 8 days. If you owned a business, would you let it operate even though you could not check in on it for over a week? It sure is inconvenient for us (and them too), but it is safer for the business' longevity to just close up shop, instead of let someone non-family member manage it for a week. That would take a lot of trust.
