I ordered my Intuos 4 today from B&H. I can hardly wait for it's arrival. This will be my first graphic tablet and am really looking forward to it.

Congrats! Love my Intuos3 and really like the looks of the 4. Just give it some time. There is a learning curve.

I also love my 3 and for what I do, I don't see myself getting the 4. As Dave said, give it time because it will take a bit to get used to.

I got my 4 about a week ago, I had a 3 and loved it, but the 4 is even better. Twice the pressure levels, the pen feels better and the wheel is pretty handy and customizable. I have mine set for brush size and zoom which are what I use most. It cuts out two more keyboard shortcuts and makes it even quicker. You will love it!

Are there any tutorial links on setup and use suggestions, mine was delivered today and I've never used one.

Here's one for the 3 - I would expect the functions should be the same....

Looking down thru it I'm not sure what 3 it's for - doesn't look like mine.

One thing to keep in mind is that the tablet can function differently in different applications so you can have a whole raft of different options based on which app you are in.

I just bought a Bamboo to see if I really want to use a tablet again. I used to use one back in my Amiga days when I was a graphic artist for the local Public Schools TV station and haven't really used one since, been about 15 years now.

If I like it, I'll go ahead and upgrade to the Intuos4.

btw, Dell had the Bamboo for $45 + tax with free shipping, so I paid $47 shipped.

Upgraded my Intuos USB last year to an Intuos 3... I think I'll hold off for another generation before I consider upgrading and then I'll probably be looking for a bigger tablet.

I am new to Tablets world, i remember i got my intuos3 9x12 as my first tablet ever in about 1 months ago or 40 days [I forgot when exactly]

Yesterday [Thursday] i recieved my Intuos4 [Small], and now i am using it as i am typing this post, it is much better than my intuos3 but in fact i didn't use intuos3 to judge, but because it was large i didn't use it much, for both are perfect but i feel that the large is more accurate for more difficult work, while the small is much more easy to use because you don't need to move your hand and arm too much around the tablet as on that large, so i feel more comfortable with the small one, but ofcourse i will use the large one if needed, and to me the design and function keys on the pen and the tablet of 4 is better than 3 but i can't say that if i am not good enough to use both to compare.

I just got an Intuos4 Medium yesterday. I think it's safe to say that it's going to take some getting used to; I'm accustomed to using a gaming mouse, where a flick of the wrist sends the cursor shooting across the screen.

Quick question for others that have used the Intuos4 with LightRoom2 - are there any particular key/function mappings that you've found especially useful? Quite frankly, I'm not sure where to start!

I am the proud owner of the Intuos3 and don't see myself upgrading for a while!

Here's the part that I don't understand. Why does Wacom include a mouse with the tablet? Why would I want to use a mouse on the tablet if I have a mouse connected to the computer?
