C24-70 Zoom Ring

Hi,

I purchased a Canon 24-70 and the zoom ring is a little bit stuck in the 24 mm. Is it from being new or a possible problem?

Mine was the same, now it is niiiiiice, it doesn't move without me moving it but moves so easy when I do....
