Looking for honest opinions plz

Hello everyone, Im looking for honest opinions

I was blessed to have the opportunity to shoot my cousins wedding. As we arrived to the church we found out they didnt have a wedding photographer. Luckily my older bro brought his camera and so my older brother volunteered to take some pics. He then offered me if i wanted to do it and i couldnt say no. This is something i've been wanting to do and practice at.

Again, im looking for honest opinions plz. It dont matter if you put me down or anything! I just want to learn and get better. I wanted to say thanks to everyone who posts on POTN. What a great learning tool we have here

Given the tight situation you were in I think the look very good. They should be very happy to have them since they hadn't arranged for a photographer. Well done

I think you did really well considering the circumstances.... looks like a fun wedding!

oh, and never consider CC as a put down, they can only lead you in the right direction.

It's good of you to step up and take photos in the situation The photos aren't professional but they're a lot better than a GWC would do

I like 1 as it is, I like the fact that the candlesticks create the composition balance.

3. ok, a little off balance, I like to get closer to the screen if I'm doing something like that, the main thing is you have correctly exposed the screen, well done.
7. has awesome potential, not sure what I'd do with it, but I like it and would pursue to make it better somehow.

For #1 i already cropped more than half the pic Im afraid if i crop even more the groom wont have enough detail to stand on its own. I guess the reason why i cropped it like that is b/c i like the idea how there is something OOF and then there is the main subject. Basically 2 things to look at. And then finally your eye goes to the priest (at lest for me) which is good i guess. Odd #'s are good. I had another one just showing the priest the groom at a different angle (i thought there face expression was perfect) but it came out OOF

I want to post the original see what people can do with it.. Im not that big of a fan how it is right now, the only reason why i posted it was to lead into pic # 2

thank you Harroz any suggestions for #7? I went for the soft look on this one. The original pic was even softer because there was a lot ( ummm not sure what the correct word is here but) smoke, fog? lol.. Stuff that are sometimes used in night clubs i believe.

One quick question i have.. what's a gwc?

#2 is a good shot but would possibly be better with them walking towards the center of the frame than towards the edge, which means frame them on the right if they're walking left. It has depth and color, some leading lines and patterns, and good available light and light angle.

#8 might have potential.

The rest are the equivalent of snapshots IMO.

#8 is a real winner. Considering you didn't plan to shoot, you did a good job. I am sure they were more than appreciative. Is that common? For a couple to not have a photographer at all? Thinking.....
