I have purchased from them in the past and had no issues. A quick check of their resellers ratings also shows that at least for the last 6 months things have been improving.

Rikan Havok,
I was curious about Butterfly photo as well, so I called Canon directly and they are not a Canon authorized dealer and was told by the canon rep that Butterfly is part of Broadway photo- take it for what it is worth. glenphoto

^Say what?

so if they arent not an authorized Canon dealer, all Canon products sold by them do not carry a Canon factory warranty?

ufff ... close call .. I was about to pull the trigger!

Rikan havok,
Let's put it this way, is it worth saving a few dollars with an unauthorized Canon dealer and not knowing if your equipment is covered. Personally, I would rather buy from a reputable and authorized dealer and have peace of mind knowing that my purchase is covered by Canon. When I spend big $$$ on equipment, I like to know that I have the real deal. glenphoto

This is not true. The warranty is an agreement with Canon, not the dealer you purchased from. From what I can tell, the only advantage in being an authorized dealer is that you can offer the Canon rebate program.
