I have a Canon 40D 17-85 IS + Canon 70-300 1:4-5.6 IS USM lens and want to get more zoom.
Can i get a canon Extension tube or ring that will fit the above equipment.

You lose the ability to focus at distant objects.

Your talking about teleconverters not extension tubes...there is a big difference. Teleconverters have optics in them, extension tubes do not.

It will focus slowly, but it still may focus.
