Beautiful shots Tony....these are both really pretty birds.

Nice Chaffinch and a lovely Zebra Finch. Are Zebra's native to the US, I fished one out of the sea once whilst I was racing, it attempted to land on the boat then flew off and plopped in the sea, tried to take off and then plopped down again, so my crew and I decided to sacrifice our position in the race and rescue the poor thing. Stuffed it in a bucket by the mast with an anorak over it, and then carried on the race. We assumed it had escaped from an aviary somewhere as when I sent the wife to the local pet shop with a drawing to try and identify it (Pre Web days) they had one there. We kept it for a couple of years before it made another escape attempt, we heard a few weeks later that it had been seen pinching food from some local chickens

Those are both absolutely lovely. The detail in the first and the color in the second make them both winners.
