artyman Sleepless in Hampshire More info | Apr 04, 2009 16:52 | #3 Nice Chaffinch and a lovely Zebra Finch. Are Zebra's native to the US, I fished one out of the sea once whilst I was racing, it attempted to land on the boat then flew off and plopped in the sea, tried to take off and then plopped down again, so my crew and I decided to sacrifice our position in the race and rescue the poor thing. Stuffed it in a bucket by the mast with an anorak over it, and then carried on the race. We assumed it had escaped from an aviary somewhere as when I sent the wife to the local pet shop with a drawing to try and identify it (Pre Web days) they had one there. We kept it for a couple of years before it made another escape attempt, we heard a few weeks later that it had been seen pinching food from some local chickens Art that takes you there. http://www.artyman.co.uk
