Just got back from Supanova 2009 (my first visit, loved it to bits, awesome - thanks Meg for inviting me!!!). Hundreds of shots, only a few "keepers" that I'm happy with due to a misbehaving Mark IIn that focused worse than my bloody D60 does. Here's some of the keepers:
My friend Meg (doesn't she look gorgeous!) - she's playing some Anime character, I need to ask her what it is:

Stormtrooper:

The Joker (and he was absolutely brilliant on stage in his cosplay performance - totally perfect!)

Some pretty young girl in an awesome costume (some anime character, again, not entirely sure which one) - edit, her name is Megan and she ended up winning best costume at the event:

100% crop of the face of above image:

For being a champ and posing for me, I made sure to get her EMail address so she can download a full res shot
Note: Entry to this event required you to waive all legal rights to photographic and videographic images, so no model contracts were required from me. This model was probably under 18 (hard to tell) but since she was with a girlfriend and in a public place, I saw no harm in asking for a shot, in the spirit of the event.
For those that don't know, Supanova is an Aussie sci fi/fantasy/anime/cosplay convention that's held annually in each of our major capital cities. My first time, had a ball, play to go back next year and do some cosplay myself!
