Ok this is REALLY rediculous!

Lightroom is automatically (without input from me) changing photos to black and white.

You change them back to color and then it starts changing more and more to B&W! It gets quicker and quicker! It destroyed a whole 30,000 image library!

NOT impressed.

Reverted back to (what I think) is a decent library from my old machine.

Lets hope Adobe fix it quick or 2.2 doesn't do it otherwise Im stuffed :(

Do you have an Auto Import 'develop setting' enabled?

RAW convertors NEVER alter the RAW file! So even if LR had applied the B&W preset, you can easily alter the photo back to its original settings, as all presets are non-destructive (unlike what happens to editing JPG files)

You need to give me OK to edit your image and repost! Keep POTN alive and well with member support https://photography-on-the.net/forum/donate.php

No, unless it is by default.? and it was the latest 2.3 on OS X.

And these are files already in Lightroom from weeks ago! They just randomly change!

V2.2 doesn't do it so i'll stick with that!!!!

Edit: It doesn't change the file itself, just what lightrooms adjustments have done, so something somewhere is changing something it shouldn't be :o

I'd bet you've accidentally hit the V key at some stage when you had all images selected in Grid view (or the cat walked across the keyboard), and it's just updating the previews when you scroll through the images.
