I am upgrading my Cokin P GND setup to the Lee Foundation Kit + filters, but can't figure out which 77mm adapter ring I need. There are 3 options: 77mm adapter ring, 77mm hood adapter ring, and 77mm wide angle adapter ring.

My widest lens is 17mm, on a 1.3X crop, but I almost definitely will be going full-frame at some point in the future. So the question is, will the normal 77mm adapter cause vignetting at 17mm on FF, or is the 77mm wide angle required? And I'm not entirely sure I understand the 77mm hood adapter -- you can use your hood with the adapter ring still in place?

I have both the 'normal' and 'wide angle' adapter rings...you can pretty much get by with only the wide angle adapter ring, even on a full frame camera. You'll definitely need the WA adapter ring.

You shouldn't need the hood adapter ring...that's for attaching the Lee wide angle hood to your lens if you happen to have one. In this case, you wouldn't need the filter holder...the wide angle hood has two integral slots. As I recommended, just get the WA adapter ring and you should be set...

Thank you!

Edit: just ordered the foundation holder, .9 hard GND, .6 soft GND, .9 ND (all Lee), 77mm WA adapter. Goodbye colour casts!! And I threw in the new Intuos4 medium tablet for kicks (my ten-year old graphire has pretty much reached the end of its life).

Where did you order from? Seems like a difficult item to find along with the Lee CPL. Was all set to get them from B&H but the website says back ordered and no date as to when available grrrrrr!

I know I was just hoping someone in Canada preferably would know where to find one now LOL!! If not I will have to suck it up and buy where ever I can find it. I am hoping to find one no later than August for my vacation.
You never know what can happen when you wake up an old thread LOL!

I purchased mine not too long ago from E-Bay and got it within a couple of weeks from this seller:

If you are not comfortable buying online Vistek should have some but at a higher price premium.

Yeah I saw that and wondered about it coming al the way from Poland.
Vistek has the foundation kit and the price is absolutely crazy! I will keep searching for a while before I give Vistek my business lol!
Thanks for responding!
