Drove past this older church the other day and just had to get a picture of it!

One of the oldest in the area too, built in 1882.

Did a fair bit of photo-shopping to this to get rid of the offending surroundings which were things like modern houses, lots of telephone poles, light standards and hydro wires.

C&C appreciated!

Cheers!

I like it, but it sure looks lonely sitting all by itself without even a tree.

I agree!

I was looking at that composition thinking to myself it needs some thing! I thought about how a lake or a river running near it would help to complete this but didn't think about a tree! That could work too! I'll have to see what I can come up with now to blend that in. Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it!

You're very close! This one is on Leslie, between Major Mac and 16th.

I've been by the one you mentioned a few times but never had the chance to shoot that one yet! I think I will in the near future though.

Cheers!

Well, I've been playing around with this picture for the past 24 hours and tried adding some trees and other elements to it but it just ended up getting worse so...I decided to go back to the drawing board and try it as a simple 2 shot HDR in Photomatrix and even cheated a bit there too because I only had the one shot so, I played with the exposure in DPP to create two different exposures and then monkeyed around with it in Photomatrix for close to an hour then did some final touch ups in Photoshop Elements!

Anyway, here's the new rendition!

Better/worse??? I'm having trouble being objective at this point.

Cheers!

I think it looks pretty good. Makes the church look ominous.

The second image rocks, Ghost. Very surreal. Great job.

Regards,
Mark
