All depends on how far away from the camera you need to be, and if you want to be in the photos. I got mine for use when shooting fireworks, etc.(long exposures on a tripod). Mine is from Yonguouo or something like that, it's just a simple mechanical switch, and seems to be built pretty well.

It is an RF wireless rechargeable remote that works quite well. The receiver that plugs into the camera can also be used as a wired shutter release in addition to the remote that can be used up to 100 feet.
