So I got this buddy, and this buddy has an old nikon d2h body that he's selling dirt cheap. talking like $300 bucks cheap --should I grab and go? I think I have some vr nikon lense laying around in my closet I could possibly throw on for kicks. never came out of the box, except for when I opened it earlier in the winter. I think it's the body that umm came out around the old 1D classic era. I heard the 1D classic body is still doing pretty good for those who have it =)

only $300 bucks??? why not?

xD second opinions are always good.

thanks!

I wouldn't do it. There are other things that I would rather put the money towards vs. having a body that I would probably play with for a few hours then put in a bag to gather dust. You have a nice Canon kit already and my guess is would probably do the same.

I am looking at getting a Nikon body--- (D700) even if I can pick up one for a steal the problem is you have to pick up lenses and everything else you want in your Nikon kit---- not sure it would be worth it for a body as old as the one your buddy has.

I have had a tendency all my life to buy things "because they're cheap". Now I have a house full of crap I never use. :p

I would skip it and get something you'll actually use with your current Canon.
