Complete with Indiana Jones outfit too? Cool.

He needs a hat and a whip :)

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

"Introducing the brand new Nikon IJ-40 top hat and HW-80 whip. Using an articulated LCD screen has never been so adventurous."

I'm excited for this, but I'm not going to buy it. They just have a big hole with the Rebel series having been redesigned twice since the D40 was introduced. I think it will boost Nikon's user base further, along with the stellar D90--I hate the name of this (it will apparently be called the D5000), and undoubtedly it will be crippled by no AF motor, but it will sell. I'm hearing 12MP CMOS, same AF as D40/D60 (hopefully more points, and side points that actually function!), same video as D90, and from the pictures it looks nearly identical to the D40/D60.

So basically it'll be a slightly updated D300/D90 sensor in a small body. My dream baby Nikon would be a D40h which would have the D700's DX equivalent sensor (5MP, but the same amazing high ISO performance).

A better body at a parallel price point to a Canon body only means more pressure for Canon to match or exceed the spec of Nikon. Ultimate winners are us their customers.

Nikon D5000 basically confirmed.

I hate the name but the specs look very promising and it doesn't sound any worse than "Rebel T1i." :p
