Thanks. It's been back for a few weeks now. Actually until a few hours ago it was 13% for days. It has just gone down to 11% :(

But I predict this topic will be moved, it doesn't really belong here.

I sure hope it goes back to 30%....

Now, that was really nice!
(although a few eBay sellers raised their BIN prices to take half of that for themselves)!

This isn't the right place to ask this question but now is as good a time as any.

Where does the cashback come from? Who's paying for it?

its at 14% now...

That was last week, 14% is history now. When the OP posted, it was 11% and going down. (recent peak: 14%, then 13% then 11% in a matter of days).

I strongly doubt that the days of 25-30% cashback will ever come back. That was pretty much a teaser last year, but I did buy a bunch of stuff while it lasted.

Right now (04-09-09, 2:23 p.m.) it's 11%. I just bought a Sigma 150-500 with $97 savings.

Sounds good, but I bought my 40D in December & all the pages said I would get the cash back, but I still don't have it yet?!?!

I have been trying to get microsoft to put the money in my paypal account, but no luck yet.

I just checked out netbooks and discovered I could do better by going to a vendor who I have purchased from before, who does not offer Cashback, but who does provide free shipping and no sales tax. Buyer beware of so-called 'deals' under Cashback.

I just benefitted big time from this. I found a 17-55 that had a BIN price of $849, subtract 11% from that and WOW what a deal. I was him-hawing around between the 24-105 and this one. This made up my mind.

Thanks for making me spend more money!
