Happend to pop into this thread and when I saw this pic I knew exactly where it was from :) Small world :) hahaha I have some similar from a couple weeks ago. It was still waaaaay to cold at the peninsula for me - complete with a little snow left even... the wind was really blowing so my hands were getting very cold.
Here is one of my shots.

We had some excellent images in this contest!
It made the choice quite difficult!

mullhawk:
interesting composition
athrasher:
great focus on the chain link - nice blurred
background
traildad:
beautiful landscape - nice perspective
husker tony:
great detail - beautiful background
coachman:
beautiful macro shot, excellent background
big hands:
very nice perspective - it might be more of a
railing than fence
hnikesch:
absolutely beautiful shot! Main focus is the
fence - great foreground! Well done!
sue t.:
nice composition - focus is more on trees than on
fence
bjordan:
great timing - beautiful detail, nice background
joe m:
interesting with the birds - maybe you can add
some setting next time
wilboud:
Welcome to POTN!
Interesting photo - lots of snow, for sure!
maybe you can add the type of camera used!

Let's get the cameras out and start taking pictures for the next one!

haha, thats awesome, I actually just moved back to Pittsburgh last week, so no more presque isle shooting for me. The peninsula is pretty much the only thing I will miss about Erie though, that and Tim Hortons :D :D

Oh really? My brother and his family live in pittsburgh - mckees rock.
I'm from North East - Don't really go to the peninsula that often but thought it seemed like a nice day to go that day... I didn't think about how cold the wind would make it feel though! hahaha Your missing a good wind storm here now! Lots of trees down everywhere.
