Hi guys,

My brother asked me to shoot video and photo and his wedding.

I'm looking for cost effective ideas for both video and photography, that are a bit different. Humor is big in our family, so funny ideas are welcome.

I was thinking of having a textile or backdrop and a camera on a tripod, so people could shot themselves.

-Try handing out disposable cameras, cheap ones, to about 20 or 30 of the guests and instruct them to try their best to get as many photographs of they can of the whole wedding. You can buy these cheap things for like 10 bucks a pop just about anywhere, send off the cameras to be processed.

At the same time, go around and do your own video shooting; won't have to stress as much because you've got 30 odd people shooting with you to cover what you miss! :D

I'm not sure how you work, these are all just ideas, I've got no idea how you would price something like that. Maybe cover your own costs of the video and the buying of the disposable cameras plus the processing charges. Up to you really

Or

Have a nude wedding ! That's always a great laugh.

Yeah, it's all done for free. I would be doing all this even if he didn't ask me to. :)

I thought of the disposable cameras, but I think it's an idea that's dying. Most guest will bring their point and shoot digicams and I can get copies of all the pictures.

I was thinking more of creative set ups or ideas for the video.
Maybe interviewing the guests for the video before the party?

btw. the nude wedding might happen later, we like to drink in Denmark and the wedding parties can last up to 24 hours from ceremony to last drunken guest leaving.

Beg steal or borrow some Polaroid Cameras...plus film of course. Take the photo yourself or get a fairly photo-wise family member or guest to take them.

Once the photo is exposed, have the guests write a message to the bride and groom underneath. Works a charm and the B&G will thank you for it.
