Well I haven't posted any motorsport images on here for a while, so I thought it was time I contributed. Here are some shots from the BRSCC meeting at Snetterton this Sunday. I hope you enjoy them.

All shots taken with a Canon EOS 1D MkII and my favourite lens, the Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 EX. Thanks for looking.

Excellent shots Cadwell, both on here and your website. The orange Porsche looks like some piece of kit. Interesting to see some shots taken with that lens as well.

Cheers,

Simon.

Hi Glenn, I recognise most of those cars from previous outings. Number 20 ran as 77 last year and looks lovely on track. No BTCC then? We didn't miss much by the looks of things. FBMW did all the photogs at Redgate a favour and woke up those that hadn't nodded off watching the touring cars. I hope it gets better or I'll have to remember to take loads of Red Bull to keep awake.

The big ugly orange monster carried number 5 last year as well and was very quick, driven by Richard Chamberlain. That complete front comes off, it is only held on with about eight locking bolts.

Thanks guys :)

Ken, nope no BTCC. In fact wild horses couldn't drag me to Donington to watch them. I can do without the road rage getting in and out of the car park and the generally unpleasant and aggresive crowd that the BTCC / Donington combination seems to generate. Besides, I hadn't been to Snet for quite a while (the last BRSCC meeting I was due to go there for at the end of last year was cancelled due to lack of interest) so I thought it was time for a visit. I'll see the dodgems when they go to Thruxton at the end of the month.

p.s. I remember the orange beasty from last year as well. The 10D's AF system used to throw a hairy fit every time it saw it. The Mark II doesn't seem to have the same issues with orange ;)
