Anyone know whats up with the JustRiteBracket website? (http://www.justritebracket.com (external link))

Gary Justice's stuff looks awesome: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MjqWuxedug (external link)

I checked back about a week ago because I decided I'd take the plunge and get one - but the server times out - i.e. the pages don't show. Pages have been down all week as far as I can tell.

If you google Just Rite Camera Brackets
and go down to about middle of page , it says the only way to get it is to find at a show or a dealer .
It is really close to my custom brackets . They both take special QR plates and I would stay with Arca , RRS , Markins [Interchangeable] or Bogen . My main QR set-up is the bogen but slowing going to arca style .

Midwest Photo Exchange sells them:

Don't know if they're legit though. Resellerratings are pretty bad.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

In the UK you can get them from here - http://www.bellwood.co.uk/flashbrackets.shtml (external link).

I do think they look fab, as brackets go, and very nearly got one, but I am really concerned that the weight of a 1D3, 70-300/2.8IS (or even 24-70/2.8), 580EX and the bracket would be more than I would want to bear for hours on end at a wedding. Since I often shoot with two bodies on the go at once, which one would get the bracket, or should I have two? Also, if you mix body sized - gripped/ungripped, or gripped + 1 series - then you will need two versions of the twisty turny plate thing and that adds to the cost.

I totally understand the benefits a bracket can bring, but cost, weight and bulk (one of those things will not fit easily into your typical camera bag) are the things I am less happy with. I do have two cheap eBay brackets of differing designs, one of which is quite compact and light, but I use neither of them.

Instead I go for the "abetterbouncecard (external link)" approach for indoors. Outdoors the direct flash for fill is just fine coming in from a slight side angle.

Thanks for your replies. I'd be really surprised if he's closed the website, though - it had plenty of information, product shots and the possibility of ordering directly. Even if he were to decide only to sell through resellers, why remove the product information? Strange.

My custom brackets is nice but anything over the 10-22 or 17-55 , it wants to tip over .
Really unstable if you add the tripod QR and try to set on table .
