I'm no pro by any stretch of the imagination but I'll share my $.02.

#1 - busy and uneven lit foreground kind of ruins it for me and it appears to be soft.
#2 - not too crazy about the hotel being chopped and the foreground doesnt do much for me.
#3 - like the colors but too much movement.

Now for the good news, Ive definitely take worse....:D.....I might get blasted for this but Im not familiar with that kit lens, I know most are garbage so the softness might be out of your control.

In your first post, I think the pink cabana row is the best one. If you had moved over so that you included less of the gray motion blobs and more of the bright, neon lights and really emphasized the pattern (so that the last cabana you see is at the end of the frame, or almost at the end, and the first one is at the beginning).

For your second post, the second picture is the best due to the fact that the clouds are lit up; however, the city seems to be the intended focus. But it's too small to be the main subject, so things are a little confusing. You should always have a clear and definate subject or intended viewing point in your photo. In this one it seems like the clouds are competing with the large building, and the trees are just kind of there. They feel like they should be leading into the city, but that's too small, so the trees are just a standalone element.

I do have to say that you're off to a good start. Keep it up.
