So, what did you end up telling him? I'm not sure how I would have answered this question.the truth - that I don't know the answer to that question and that I am very proud and impressed that he was thinking about such interesting things and that he was brave enough to share his thoughts with me. Not the answer he wanted at age 5, but the best I have to offer in that case. beano wrote in post #7691392 I really like this Athena. Isn't 5 VERY young for that sort of question? He's obviously a very deep thinker.yes, I think that 5 is definitely young for those sorts of questions. And you are right - he is a very deep thinking person - an over thinker at times. No idea where he got that from... Hinson wrote in post #7692520 I'd like to know more about those 'pellets.' So would I! He brought home a small handful of them and put them in water when he was supposed to be doing homework. When I questioned him about them later he told me a girl in his class gave them to him, but didn't tell him what they are for. Perhaps they are to make the water in flower vases pretty? They come in an assortment of colors, but I find the clear and blue ones to be the prettiest. www.athenacarey.com
