My friend Adam Augustine created these works in the font of Helvetica to signify it's omnipresence in the world of graphic design. He worked for over a month preparing the pieces, using wood & tile, stucco, and concrete, the latter of which weighed in at over 250 lbs a letter. Each letter is about two and a half feet high. Going renegade in the pre-dawn streets of Manhattan, we unloaded the behemoths. Well, Adam and a friend did, I just stood around photographed. Anyway, the pieces were placed and were still there when we left four hours later. Check out the front of SVA on 23rd and 3rd to see some of it. May art rule the world.
