These were taken a several weeks ago. The weather was nasty (overcast and misty) but these little guys were busy eating up the seed. Thanks for looking. :)

Nice shots, shame about the confusing background.

Thank you Liz... I wasn't either until about a year or so ago.

Thanks Sharon, They are cute. I've only seen these guys in central and west Texas. I haven't seen any around here in the DFW area, just the regular Tufted Titmouse.

I like it, and like the others have said, I didn't know this was a species either.
That makes me want to look for some now... :)

I see you're in the D/FW area, I'm in Irving, where did you shoot these, here, or somewhere else?
I ask because I don't see live oaks with lichen encrusted bark here, but in South Texas.

Very nice shots!

Randy

Thank you Randy! These images were taken in the Marble Falls (hill country) area of Texas. There is so many different bird species in that part of the world. :D

Ohhh, I thought it looked familiar, I was just in Marble Falls/Fredericksburg/Guadalupe River, etc. and that area two weeks ago on vacation, and you're right, lots of birds!
I brought back limbs to stick up by my feeders, I love that lichen look! heheh
