What do you guys think of this shot? I can see where I stuffed up by not exposing the entrance properly in any of the 3 I took, and I can also see a glow around the roof, what causes this?
Other than that, what do you think of the conversion? I have so much trouble trying to get them looking realistic. I have a heap of bracketed shots I thought would be nice, but I just can't make them look real enough, they all look like greyed over photos with ghastly colours. This is the best one I have done, and I'm still not sure it's "good"

For the composition junkies, I want to and I am really trying to get the composition part of my photography sorted. I went to this modern museum and it had angles, curves and lines everywhere, but just didn't really know how to take advantage of them?? It's so open to translation, but I just don't seem to "get it"

It's a neat looking structure and the colors are very vivid. A composition critique is that your horizon is off a little judging by the ground where the person is standing. Should be rotated clockwise a little bit.

As far as your processing, I think it came out looking really good. There are a couple areas where contrast seems to be a little weak. What software are you using to process?

I use photomatix as it seems to be the software of choice.

Thanks for the feedback. It's so obvious after you mention it regards the horizon. I'm normally one to rotate my shots straight when it's obvious (water etc) but I completely missed this one. Probably messing with the HDR too much to think about it!!

What bits do you think need more contrast?

I'm glad you like it, as I mentioned earlier I have tried many times with different shots, but they are always smokey or grey or just plain weird, I just don't know if it's the original 3 I use, or the settings or what?

i did another one from the same place, different view, but the sky has gone all grey at the top??

It is an amazing building, but I wished I knew more about taking advantage of all the shapes it had to offer.

Cheers Pete. I do like this one, it's just I can't get similar results with any of my others yet. But I do like a challenge, if this was easy for me, I'd have moved on by now!
