Rudi,

Now you already know this is a keeper, especially for the happy couple. I gave it the blink test (external link) and my eye kept going to the hands, so that's great. Very nice composition.

One thought: the foremost part of the bouquet is a bit busy and seems to compete for attention. Perhaps a simpler bouquet?

Congrats on a super shot,

Mitch

Here's one from the same wedding. It's the groom with his parents. I was looking for something a little different from the usual family shots... :)

I can just imagine the couple keeping that shot as a favourite for years to come (hopefully they will stay married unlike most of us!)

The second shot was interesting and rather offbeat for a wedding although I've seen wedding photographers do some odd things over the years (c'mon boys lets jump and do the Toyota commercial "Oh what a feeling!") but to me it looks like a picture begging for a speech bubble above the grooms head, perhaps thats just my sick sense of humor though.

The tux appears a very solid colour all over and I'd love to see it captured in colour (if it ever was) although the ground may be a little overwhelming if its green. Great shot nonetheless.

I loved these photos!

i dont know much about the technical aspects of photography but i just loved the compositions. Speaking as a bride to be, i hope i manage to find a photographer who will break from the norm and achieve such fab shots as i often find 'traditional' wedding photos very dull.

i would love to see more like those?

Louise

Louise,

I'm away from my home computer at the moment, but I can post some more wedding photos later, if you like these... :)

I don't know where in the world you are, but if you pay for a return ticket and my accommodation, I'll do your wedding shoot for free! :D

And yes, I have a passport! :D :D :D

Louise,

I'm in Australia. :D

If you want to see more photos from the same wedding, go to www.rudiphoto.net/wedding (external link)

If you'd like to see some more photos from other weddings I have done in the past, let me know, and I'll put up a page for you somewhere. :)

You know, depending on who you hire for wedding photography, this could even work out cheaper for you! 8)

Either way, good luck!

It was a nice idea, wasn't it? :)

I wish I could recommend someone local to you, but while I know quite a few people in Scotland, not one of them is a photographer. They're all good drinking buddies, though! :D

All the best in your search!
