Okay, pulling a Nick here...

Please vote for which one you like more. I just want to see what you think - the rest of the logo is yet to come, but just for this part, I would like some opinions.

Thank you.

I like the left one more. While I like the style of the other one as well, I think the first would look best stamped on images.

I think it'd be more beneficial if you asked yourself which was beneficial for you, appealed to you, and appealed to people within your market :D! Each one communicates something different...but anyho.

I think the one on the left is something I'd see in a fancy downtown restrauant, whereas on the right I see this as something I would see on the side of a bus or in an airplane terminal. It says "zoom" to me, or projects the feeling of being laid back and always rushing about.

I think the J could do with being reversed vertically, in the image on the left so that it looks more like a J rather than a P

for me both have equal artistic elements, hard to say which one is better. Depends on what type of business this logo serve.
If it's for your wedding photography studio, a flower shop, wedding or reception service, then definitely the 1st one.
2nd one if it's for shipping/logistic service, production/furniture store, camera shop etc.

Considering what you'll be shooting the first logo appears to be the better choice of the two. I would also like to suggest going back to the drawing board for your logo, don't get me wrong they are perfectly acceptable logos it's just they seem to be the standard logo for either a professional wedding photographer or a sports photographer. I say be unique in your design.

+1 again.

I think whichever matches your business mission.

Important thing is that both are very nice.

Thinking about it like a Rorschach card (what my mind quickly sees):

Left: Signature

Right: Airline Logo

I like the one on the left :)

I like the first one, although... I thought it was a "Q" at first glance, until I looked at the second logo and saw it was really a "J"

The script looks more professional and honestly, the second reminds me of an airline...not sure why
