Nice selection, lovely bright colours :)

Yeah, cant wait to see those results, we so need a strobist meet soon

I'd be up for that, although being a complete newb when it comes to off-camera lighting I might not be much cop :D

meh, knackered.
London marathon photos yesterday...

over 2000 shots in basically 5 hours. My arms are going to fall off, and I've nearly lost my voice!

2 hours before the race, and 3 hours after.

5AM start on a Sunday is just wrong!

Good morning, how is everyone else? (I'll catch up with about 20 pages of threads later!)

Any shots to share?

Hi All

With all these pages and great images I have done very little photographically the past many days but we did have a walk on the 19th April and I had seen this lovely bit of street art previously and took a very minor detour to stop and grab this shot - only toted the F700 so limited angles to fill the frame. FWIW they have improved the whole of the towpath along this stretch of the Wey Navigation @ Guildford and group called The Tree Pirates have also worked their wonders.

This is a height restrictor for a small P&D carpark and IMO is a great bit of street art that I do sincerely hope gets left untouched by the mindless vandals :(

:D thanks and yes its an imaginative bit of artwork. Incidently, to the right there is a highish brickbuilt multi-arched railway bridge but with I think it is 4 arches so the sculpture "echoes" the bridge.

I'd be interested... really need to nail down my technique and stop blinding people with my mis-pointed flash :D

I was walking along the thames yesterday by Kingston and there was a derelict property right next to these million pound houses. Worth a look if anyone is in the area, its between thames ditton and kingston.

Thanks for the tip sylvester!

Does anyone know how to get ISO 100 on the 40D in M? I must be retarted because the lowest mine goes is 200 and then it hits auto. I have looked in the manual and it says it is capable of 100 but I can't figure out how to set it.

I was just looking at a pdf for the 40D, and it says that iso is fixed at 400 in M!?! Why the hell would they do that? Isn't the point of Manual that you have FULL control!?!

Definitely interested to hear from other 40D owners, as i want to get one at some point.

I think this the one that has been asked many times when the 40D first came out! Look up the setting Hightlight Tone Priority and I think you will find it "on", set it to "off" and see if that sorts it out???

If not that then I blame a senior moment and the HTP setting has another irritating effect

HTH :)
