Right I'm off out to the Darwin 'Big Idea' exhibition at the NHM.... hope it's not packed full of school kids. I really should have remembered it's Easter holidays!

I have no degree and am still employeed, so it's a bit of a crap shoot. Experience is key unfortunately in IT.

As much as experience is important, I still think qualifications can be a differentiator at entry level. I find that agents who don't normally know much the skills involved in the role that they are recruiting for tend to fall back on education.

Probably been said many times already but if I was in Neil's position I would get into temping just to keep yourself busy and broaden your search. If you need to move or commute further, do it for a year or so before looking for a job that is closer to what you want.
