Roll Britania is next month. 15 teams if I remember correctly from UK and Europe. Toggy places are bleeding limited so really got to push for a place. Im tempted to hire out the 200 1.8 again but the AF is just not that quick.

@ Matt
Ill get that pic on tomorrow. Im having a hard time with the Facebook tags from the girls. Was super agressive last night. All previous rounds were not too bad but this is one sport where a UK/London based team thrashed the opposition. Final score, the London team won by over 200 points.

Very nice! I loved my 10-22, its an excellent lens. Did you get the DG tubes that allow you to change the aperture etc or just the basic ones?

Yup DG. Never used these before. Did you ever try these with a wide angle? How did these compare to lenses with longer mm, say 100mm? Glad to here you liked your lens also. I felt I lacked a super wide and an a bit restricted with my 16-35, however, that is also a very nice lens and can be used if I ever go full frame.

Canon 20D, 7D +grip
16-35 F2.8 MKIIL; 10-22mm f3.5-4.5
18-55 F3.5-F5.6 kit lens, 70-200 F2.8 , L; 50mm F1.8 Kenko extension tubes; 430 Flash

No worries sir.

There will be more events through the year but cannot see anything on their calendar. Will have to keep an eye on this.

Tomorrow, get a CD burnt and sent off. Hopefully should secure my place for next month. Im sure if the PR dept cannot get me a spot, the girls from teh team will sort me out. :) Real nice bunch of girls, speaking to one of them after their game, right laugh.

Hmmm, looks like you wouldn't want to meet them in a dark alley... I agree with Rob the white balance and the composition is definitely better, get more of a feel for the action. If they don't let you in next time they will be cutting their noses off to spite themselves.

Rob
Glad to see you are keeping yourself entertained but how to you put the film in the camera with one hand???

Victor
Let me know which dates you are planning on doing anything

I took over five hundred pictures at the air show today and just downloaded them so will be up quite late tonight and not get distracted by looking at other threads

That maybe true actually.

That being said, when I got home last night about 1am, I actually imported everything and sorted out all the blurred and non keepers before I sat down to process. Funny thing was, I could have done it all that night but some sleep was needed after 4am. I steered clear of the Internet till I was done. :)

I use the Sigma 105 macro with the Kenko's. Other lenses work exactly as they should but just focus closer. On UWA you may find that you get a very short DOF though.

I really miss my 10-22. The 16-35 is what i want to replace it with. You arent looking to sell are you?

OOOOoooooo that is V wide! ;) Definitely interested in having a play with that!

Do you ever feel hampered by the slow aperture though? I Have been looking at the 16-35 for band photography. I have been asked to be the photographer for a band i shot at Christmas - once i am healed of course :D

Nope, everytime I use it, I have used it in good light. If I did use it for something low light, tripod.

Heres a full res from my 5D/ Unedited, uncropped - http://clarity-rebirth.co.uk/full.jpg (external link)

Would you really want to use a UWA for band photography? I would just for primes for that. 85mm or 135L. ^_^

I will definitely use primes - my 50 1.4 and 85 1.8 when i get it. I would also like to get some shots with the band and the crowd, taken from the pit for example.

I do like that example you put up - its the same image you photoshopped Tron stylee isn't it?
