Interesting pose and way to hold the camera. I dont thinkt hat would work with a long lens.

long lenses definitely need the remote shutter release, but its not too bad - especially with the 70-200 F/4's fantastic Image Stabilisation.

I certainly wont be taking any slow shutter speed shots though!

Lovely shot, I just found A.net so ridiculous. I knew several professionals, high end equipment, good shots etc, just to be told "bad soft"... So you sharpen then slightly, then get "bad sharp", with jagged edges.

Though I'm tempted to send in a couple of on board wing shots sometime. Been saying that a while, but don't seem to have the time. Nor tolerance to be told a good shot, is apparently slightly soft or sharp ;)

Where abouts in the South are you going to be based and for how long?

Around London I would recommend the Eye, St Pauls Cathedral too late to think of any others but I am sure the others will be full of recommendations

On a different note does this picture look alright. The original shot had a cloudy sky so I have changed it and brightened up the plane or does it look manipulated.

Lovely shot!

I'd like to get out Biggin Hill again also this year.

Dear CPS Member,

Canon will once again be providing Canon Professional Services support for accredited photographers at the F1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone and the Wimbledon Tennis Championships.

Please find details of our support below

19th June to 21st June 2009, F1 British Grand Prix, Silverstone.

CPS will be located within the Photographers Building. Our services for accredited photographers will include

Free sensor cleaning.
Minor camera repairs.
Loan equipment facility, including the new EOS 5D Mark II.

22nd June to 5th July 2009, Wimbledon Tennis Championships.

CPS will be located within the Media Centre in the Millennium Building. Our services for accredited photographers will include those listed above as well as

Canon technical staff to answer any technical queries you may have.

Opportunity to test drive the new Canon PIXMA PRO 9000 MK II printer.

Loan and test equipment at both events will be subject to availability and demand.

We hope to see you there and thank you for continuing to support Canon.

Frankie Jim
CPS Professional Representative
Canon Pro Team. Canon UK.

Hopefully, if I get my pass for the GP at Silverstone, I can get them to look at a sticky button I seem to have on the MKIII.

Pah who needs two hands!?
I have just bought a tripod ring for my 70-200 L.
Not so i can mount it to a tripod, but to make it possible to attatch a spar that i can convert into a chest support for a bit more stability.

I feel like a mad scientist:lol:
