ooo I maybe going to shoot one of the mrs friends this afternoon who is due to drop her kid anytime for some "mum and bump" pics. Gonna have to travel to central london.

Am thinking softbox, lightstand, tripod and brolly, off camera, stofen, reflector. cannot really take my backgrounds and stands as they are huge.

she seems a willing model so will be a good to give this a crack......reckon I need the 300 2.8 lol? I might give my 50 F1.2L a spin tho for about the 3rd time ever!

Love 'em all :)

I like the way your gallery puts the images you've seen on the left, and yet to see on the right, or was that just coincidence?

Those types of perspective with foreground emphasis IMO are very nice but I do hope you did not get wet too quickly as I see the water must have been rushing up the beach  all I will say is watch the horizon??? ;)

:D

I freely admit it was a crap shot. I was thinking that I'd just crop to effect and straighten in post, but in the end, the horizon was too far gone to get anything good out of the shot.

I think if you scrolled through from the beginning then thats how it would seem, but I do't think its that clever to be honest, just shows the next images or the previous.

Nice gallery there Ian.

Do you find the Jalbum software easy to use/comprehensive?

I need to redo my website since it got hacked and i am looking for something idiot proof!

Jalbum is OK, they have really played around with it recently so the GUI is different. Works for what I want to use it for. Can FTP it from the prog to my site. I just need a simple design.

I'm using it so it must be idiot proof :)

Couple of questions.........

Insurance - anyone got any suggestions on who to use to insure camera gear? E&L are no good as they will not cover two people to be named to take the equipment out.

Second question - anyone going to the meet on Saturday going to be travelling into Liverpool Street or making their way across London from that area?

Ooo PW's could be an option rather that me ebay jobs. I'll only want to buy some after using them tho so maybe not a good idea.

I don't know how the gallery works then maybe thats one of the tweaks they have done to it.

trying to read up on bump shots and how to but not the best subject to research at work! all the lads pileing round my desk! not good!
