You know it!

There at home with the 5DII, if you want them, gimme a shout and I'll make sure Becce is in.

shame it all sounds like it going to be a bit rushed today but I'm going to give it a crack. I can always try again next week if she hasn't dropped.
So maybe next time Rich as I won't have time to get to yours then back to mine then tube to Canary Wharf, thanks for the offer tho bud.
Think I may duck out of work now, none of my bosses are in but all the guys who work for me are...lead by example and all that lol!

Thanks for the heads up on insurance Rich.

Certainly competitive with E&L and better cover :)

Should I be concerned.

I have just discovered when I have my 100-400 attached there is the smallest amount of play, ie if I hold the body I can move the lens. It is only by a minute amount but enough to feel it does move.

I have tried my other two lenses and there is no play with them so it has to be the l00-400. I have had it just over a month. Should I take it back or is this normal??

A very concerned Adrian as it is my most expensive camera purchase to date

I woke up like this yesterday morning.

Apologies for the bad shot, it's a 100% crop of macro mode with the G9 (no potatoshop on my work laptop)

I use photoguard - very reasonable on price and good cover as far as claims go - or so i have read in forums.

My 70-200 & 24-105 have a tiny bit of play, maybe half a millimietre or so. Its nothing to be concerned about.

It might be from when Ali whacked me in the face in her sleep the other night. I'm sure she got the other eye, so I'm not too sure what happened here.

It's not painful and should clear in a week or so.

Needless to say, I'm milking it for everything it's worth!

No.

My 100-400 does the same thing. There's about a mm of rotational play. It happened both on my 5D and 1D. There's nothing to worry about.

Probably better to have a little play rather than any heat-related expansion causing it to jam on the body.

There is no need to lie, if you are a victim of domestic violence there are people who can help.;)

Thanks for the reply about the lens as well I was getting worried and having had it for just over a month they would not have been obliged to replace but only to repair it which would have been inconvenient.

I think I am winning in my war against squirrels.

We have a recurring problem with a family of grey squirrels stealing bird food from the feeders. I'm working at home today and I've taken to spraying them with a high-pressure hose. At this range, there's no actual harm to them, but it scares the bejesus out of them.

After a few sprayings, this one particular one is now squeaking swearwords at me.

Ah! bloodshot eyes, yes I have had similar and they are natural IMO !

Ref lens mount movement - AFAIK some lens have more play than others and 'normally' its nothing to be concerned about.

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p
