The clampy thing?
I spent a long time looking around, and The Flash Centre seems to have a nice kit, although the Interfit Strobies kit is still the cheapest so I might just order one of them.

Mornin all. Not been able to post for bit due to me breaking a bone in my right hand in a stupid DIY accident  :(

Totally buggered things up. Can barely type, use mouse and can't drive - which screws up work. Can't shoot or drink so social life also screwed. Cast comes off in 5 more weeks :(

Sorry to hear that, guess Bob The Builder will be called in next time!

What on earth for??

I have had enough of my PC that freezes at the most inapropriate times!!

I have swopped around the memory sticks, changed the battery in the mother board, formatted the HD and reinstalled XP, run numerous scans that tell me there is nothing wrong when there clearly is!!

So I think i deserve something that's not going to crash on me 24-7 ..

Then buy a better PC - seriously. My company has a small number of Macs amongst our fleet and they are not significantly more reliable imo. However, when they do go wrong, Apple don't come to us to fix it - we have to go to them and support for the OS etc is not as extensive.

My advice, buy a Dell laptop and spend the money you save on a 3yr next business day on site warranty :-) And, if you want a new OS download the release candidate for Windows 7 ;-)a

I don't have a problem with XP at all .. It does all I need it to and I know my way around it, it's Vista that gets on my tits!! Haha ..

I'm just putting up with it atm until I can afford an up-grade, either way it'll be a laptop and a decent big screen for pp work! :D

Hey, I was wondering if anyone is up for a competition style meet?

Elliott and I were discussing this. Have it as a team style shoot out. Few rules

- 1 Body
- 1 Prime lens
- Candid shots only
- Teams are chosen at random via hat picking

The teams are free to roam the city, and split into two parts of the day. First half followed by lunch then after lunch, head off for round two.

Once all shots are in (say allow 3 days for people to process) max of 3/4 per team depending on how many entrants. People who took part are allowed to vote.

How does that sound?

Teshi, I wonder if it would be a better idea to not set the specific subject of candid shots only. Would certainly be interesting, but I think putting the limitation of only using one prime lens will probably make it enough of a challenge. If people are allowed to shoot whatever subjects they like then I think we'll end up getting some amazing shots as people start to let their creativity go wild.

No sense and unfortunately not enough money.
