wow well she's got great skin tone and your lighting isn't too harsh so that is a typical beginner mistake. I like the shot a lot. I would however like to see some light on the left side of her face to even it out just a little. Great shot none the less and a beautiful model.

Nice shot though skin color looks off. Did you set WB?

I had w/b set to flash...is that the best to set it to? Thanks for the advice about the left side...should I use a reflector?

And I'm lucky...the model is my fiancee! :)

I think you have done a great job. The reflector would help light up the other side, but I don't know if you need it. I like it just the way it is, well done.

I like the lighting, pose, expression and composition. It's a very flattering portrait of a lovely lady.

I'm looking at an uncalibrated monitor at the moment, but I think it could be improved by reducing the red channel on her ear and attempting to remove the red in her eyes.

Your shot looks great. A fill light to the left of your camera could have helped. Nevertheless, job well done.

Gorgeous model! I'm no expert in photoshop, but would it be possible to remove some of the redness in her eyes?

If the skin is over processed, you are an artist David. I think this model has great skin. Pretty good job IMO.
I played with some of the problems I saw, slightly brightened, worked on the red ear and the red eye.

I like the pose and there aren't any distractions therefore, the eyes are drawn directly to hers. Good job. However, I think her skin tone is off just a bit.

Thank you for your comments and advice. There was some processing of the skin, but only a little cleaning up and stuff. Thanks for the edit poloman, you've done a good job!!

I have some more from the session, will post more tomorrow to see what you think. I'll try taking some of the advice on board and see what I can do with the skin tone.

David

Ok,

Here's another one, is the skin tone better here?

Thanks in advance!

David
