We were down in Dorset over the Easter weekend and one of the places we went to was the private Gartell Light Railway ~ lovely place and IMO great for kids, even 'big kids'. Talk about a Hornby set "writ large"
However, whilst there someone I was chatting to in the signal box mentioned that the Oliver Crowmwell was due through Templecombe station at approx 2.15pm, so we went down there and not surprisingly there were a goodly number of onlookers. My first time with steam railways so a mixed bag and in hindsight I would chosen a better vantage point than the foot bridge?
Here are two to share though she was not going through at any great speed
