Just got myself a 430EXII and thought I'd try to use it for macro shots with my EF100mm macro.
Why?
Because I was swaying towards the Twin Lite MT-24 but also wanted a straight flash too....buying both would have caused grief from Missus Skygod so I went for the 430EXII.
So, here's two shots.
I used a wall (pale cream) about 8" to the left of the setup to bounce the flash.
Shot #1 is pretty much straight from the camera - no sharpening and just a tad of tweaking with the levels.
ISO 100, f/4.5, 1/320s flash on "M" angled to the left at 60°, power at 1/4 max.
Shot #2 was at ISO 100, f/4, 1/500s again, flash on "M" and angled to the left 60°, power at 1/4. Then, using Lightroom's presets, I put it through "Creative - Aged photo" and tweaked the temperature, tint, blacks, brightness and contrast to try to look like a 1960's advertisement.
C&C please....
