This is one of my friends at a recent convention dressed as a character from the series rozen maiden. Too much skin smoothing? Background too dark? Honest opinions and hyper critical nit-picking are always appreciated. :D

I really like the processing and the feel of the photo.

Her eye bothers me though. Maybe because the pupil is kinda cut off by her hair? Not sure but it just looks off to me.

I can vaguely see a tree in the background, and what looks to be an apartment building. I'm gonna say go one way or the other with it so people aren't squinting at what it is. Either leave it in view, or burn it out completely. I might brighter her up just a tad too.

I see it differently somewhat, I like the BG, it makes you wonder what she is up to? Did the character have red eyes? Just wondering.Very moody, and the hues attract my eye for some bizarre reason.lol.

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

Thanks for the comments! Yeah the character has red eyes, I was a little sloppy on turning changing their color and now some of her lower eyelash was turned red, which is what might seem out of place.

I was worried the background may be too dark, I wanted to give her a sense of place but also wanted to keep the background very dark and vauge. I'll try to bring it back up when I re-edit her. Thanks =)

I do have one more comment on the background, if you bring it up, it becomes distracting as the building clearly slants to the left, even though the subject is upright.

very cool looking foreground,, model with the pretty platinum hair and smooth skin, and good lighting; but she almost clashes with the environment. I'd love to see more of her but in a different environment. Nice shot!
