Here is a pic of my nepehew which is now also my God-son.
I love this picture but I'm also pretty annoyed that I only got one eye in focus....Aaaaarrrrggg!

I'm guessing that you were shooting wide open in this one? that's probably why you only got 1 eye in focus, since its a side shot they are in different planes. He's a cute little boy though!

Yeah I was wide open from accross the room on the nifty fifty.
It was very impromptu.

The pictures nice, I dont know how many times i do similar things about one area not in focus... but I didnt noticce it until i read... maybe you should have put the text under the photo ha ha. Great shot....

I actually like it the way that it is as it show the shallow DOF. I take lots of shots like this with my nifty fifty, although these sort of shots often look better with a tight crop. Great capture!

I don't see the out of focus eye as being a problem.. at least the right eye 'the one nearest the camera' is in focus.
