Hi everyone. Been away so missed what has been going on. There are some very nice shots, especially thos of Ken's of the lapwing seeing off the pheasant!.

This time I have just returned from Iceland, so be ready to be bored with shots from there! My main hope was for shots of red throated divers, which I managed in spades!!
I have just put these pics up on the 'Birds' section, but thought I would give you guys a private viewing.

Anyway;-

There is some more explanation in the 'Birds' section. But still, I hope that you like them. Regards Becky

Now you'll have to shoot December's full moon at the same focal length and compare the image sizes.

Actually, I just checked the dates and next January's full moon is almost bang on lunar apogee, so will be the smallest full moon.

Then I'd have to remember how much I cropped it by

These are from a couple of days ago, a snail laying eggs in the garden.

Lovely shoots Becky.

Cracking macro Cogs,

And Artyman, that's a good catch of the snail, don't see that everyday.

I have been playing about with Silver Efex Pro, love the edits it can do.

Heres a couple I done,

Spent yesterday looking around Romsey. Been past it before, but this is my first time actually stopping.

We wandered around the Abbey and I was struck by the differences between our own Cathedral here in Salisbury with its large open spaces and Romsey where it seems one cannot swing a cat.

I've seen a shot of the Abbey showing a line of treetops with the Abbey peeping above them. Anyone know where this was shot from? I've promised a friend I'd produce a decent Abbey image that he can give to some friends in the USA.

We go to romsey quite a lot shopping, but never been to the abbey. Was it worth a visit?

The jury is still out. As a first step to getting this promised picture I needed to scout the area. Next time I'll know which lens/es to take and I'll also drag along my tripod and filters. But the best viewing point is still not decided.

have taken the od macro shot but today decided to start to try a bit of macro
spent 6 hours in the mud being bitten to death and of the several hundred shots these were the best I could manage

found you need to get a high f stop so was shooting at a high iso

any thoughts, help, or criticism would be most welcome, going back out for another go tomorrow, any ID would be welcome
cheers doc
