Good work Mark, and thanks for the idents - I still haven't ventured out to look at the night sky yet.
Pokemon - nice silhouette, but as ken points out (no pun intended) the ridge tile & the vignetting let the picture down.

Just spent a week in the Cinque Terre region of Italy. Just north are the villages of Camogli and Portofino, the latter being a haunt of the idle rich.

I've got hundreds to sort through but heres a quick sample, Camogli seems to be a little off the tourist trail and is all the better for it, we were told that the more popular of the tiny Cinque Terre villages can get 5000 tourists a day in peak season!

Pretty scene Richard - looks like that's a busy marina.

Camera's back but none the wiser as to what was actually wrong with it as they didn't put much info on the repair sheet.
It's had a good strip down & service and everything set back to factory default (as I'd already done - just in case) - now to get out somewhere and test it.

Lovely shot Richard.

My word I need a proper holiday (away somewhere), its been about 6 years. Currently off at the moment but wife and I are working our way through a list of house maintenance jobs.

Good luck with the 50 Andy.

Sundown was too nice to ignore this evening & although I didn't get anything spectacular I thought I'd share these couple of pics - just feels so good having the camera back!

I'd like a holiday as well :) Portofino seems to get painted a lot as well as photographed. I like the beach shot with the fort Andy, but feel the other is a bit dark, needs a bit of a lift I think.

I haven't had a holiday for 8 years.:(

Cheers for the comments on the pics Ken - I darkened down the fisherman on purpose, but obviously the idea didn't work then.

It's alright for you retired folk! I'll be wearing a suit and giving a technical presentation when you're shooting the steam. Actually you probably won't bother, looking at tomorrow's weather forecast!
